CMHVI Helps All by Participating in Clinical Research
Central Maine Medical Center participates in many clinical trials for the evaluations of new therapies and devices. Clinical research is also an important component of the Central Maine Heart and Vascular Institute (CMHVI), CMMC's advanced cardiac services program. CMHVI was the first clinical service at CMMC to include research as part of its founding charter, when it opened its doors in 2003. CMMC welcomes opportunities to contribute to medical advancement by participating in research projects.
The affiliation between Central Maine Heart & Vascular Institute and Maine Research Associates offers cardiac patients the opportunity to be treated with the most advanced medications available, through clinical trials. Maine Research Associates has a long history of participating in trials for heart medications that have improved the lives of many cardiac patients.
